Kids aren’t kids forever… that’s why we do camps.
Our most fundamental purpose is to challenge others to equip themselves so they can tell many about God's plan of salvation through His son Jesus.
Camps International staff has ministered in Colombia, Cuba, Guatemala, Haiti, Hungry, Mexico and the USA.
How Camp Is Changing Lives…
Camps have impacted my life in a way I never expected. They have opened up new horizons in my life, led me to new experiences and helped me conquer my fears. Camps can be a very effective and powerful tool... I want kids and teens to come in contact with their Creator and be able to have a relationship with him. I believe camps can help that happen. Lucero Morales
I met the Lord while serving at camps, and I want more people to have that life changing experience. Working with the Caldwells has been an inspiration to continue serving in this beautiful ministry. Fanny Cano
I was a rebellious kid who never obeyed. When I first heard about the counselor training course I thought that I wouldn't be able to get involved. But I did and when I started listening to what the course was saying, God started working in my life. I found that I could help other people through camps. Gilberto

Why Camps?
Camps International was organized believing that a culturally adapted camp program can bring lasting benefit to children and their families while giving counselors ministry skills for outreach and discipleship.

How it Works
1. Church Growth
Growth in numbers, yes. Growth through training, experience and discipleship, definitely yes!
2. Leadership Development
Every organization on the planet needs to invest in the next generation of leadership… or die. The selection of, training of, and giving experience to the camp counselor makes him or her a statistically probable candidate for doing future ministry with the people of the local church.
3. Intentional Program
Before you do an event, before you can even invite people to be interested in it, you need to design it. To design, we ask why. Answering why clarifies objectives.
4. Camp Training
The church spends years nurturing people. Camp utilizes those efforts in a working environment. Camp is a type of finishing school for 18 somethings; those who train to become camp counselors. Through practice and experience they can discover God given gifts and refine talents. Camp gives people a safe place to take on responsibilities. Training plus experience in the context of Biblical expectations at camp is transferable to on-going service in the church.
5. Volunteers
Volunteer acts are a huge blessing. Entering the camp development portal via the volunteer window either virtually, at home or in a foreign country, means more kids get to go to camp.
