Camps have impacted my life in a way I never expected.
They have opened up new horizons in my life, led me to new experiences and helped me
conquer my fears.
I have decided to enroll in school to study early childhood development.
I have found that camps can be a very effective and powerful tool to use for evangelizing.
I want kids and teens to come in contact with their Creator and be able to have a
relationship with him.
I believe camps can help that happen.

This last year was the first time I had ever had the opportunity to participate in camps.
I also was able to assist in training sessions for camp counselors.
It is very different to see a camp from the point of view of a camper and a counselor.
I have been both and in both cases you learn new and different things and have new
experiences.
Personally, camps have helped me to discover who I am and what I am capable of doing.
Because of camps I have done things that I never would have thought that I was capable
of doing,
like taking care of small children, being a counselor, directing a group, speaking to over
50 people and other things.
I think camps can be a powerful weapon for reaching people, impacting hearts and
winning souls for Christ.

Making friends is very important to me. The camp that I went to helped me to make new
friends.
I thank God that I have been able to build new relationships and I hope they will endure
and grow with time.

I have always enjoyed participating in camps but I especially enjoyed this year because I
had the opportunity
to be a counselor for the first time. It forced me to do things that I didn't think I could do.
For instance, taking care of three girls under the age of 8, talking and praying with them
in Spanish,
and sitting with them until they ate their vegetables. I always knew that camp impacted
kids because
I have been around camps all my life. But this was the first time I had been a counselor,
and to personally
see it and to be an influence on their lives was a very gratifying experience.

I see camps as an important ministry tool. At a camp, kids get to see God outside of the
church and are surrounded by his nature.
One girl came to tell me that she felt the presence of God when they prayed and wanted
to know more about God and Jesus.
All the work that went into the camp was worth it because it impacted the kids in a
positive way.

I was a rebellious kid who never obeyed. When I first heard about the counselor training
course I thought that I wouldn't be able to get involved.
But I did and when I started listening to what the course was saying,
God started working in my life. I found that I could help other people through
camps.

I have been very impacted by the Contruyendo Relaciones counselor training course and
mini-camp.
Because of the course I realized that my relationship with God was not in good shape.
I am convinced that camps are a great tool for finding the flaws in ones life and coming
in communion with God.
I also like the fact that people listened to what you were saying at the camp. That touched
my heart.
